Chris Estep

Master Instructor
Hitting/Fielding

Chris founded Roundtripper Academy in 1993 after finishing his 7.5 year professional baseball career. Prior to playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, and Montreal Expos, Chris was named an All-American at the University of Kentucky. Chris has coached and instructed men and women of all ages for over 20 years. Chris is currently the head baseball coach at University High School. He is responsible for all player training and development for the Indiana Mustangs baseball organization for ages 8U-18U. His superb expertise in hitting has made him one of the most respected instructors in the country.


Mike Farrell

Mike Farrell is an Indiana native having played his collegiate career at Indiana State University.


Miles Miller


Lead Instructor, Pitching, 5 Tool

Miles Miller recently joined the RoundTripper staff after coaching at Butler University since the fall of 2012. Miller started as a volunteer assistant with the Bulldogs and quickly became Butler's pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. At Butler, Miller coached seven pitchers that were selected in the MLB Draft, one in the first round.


Before his time at Butler, Miller coached at Philadelphia University, where he handled the pitching staff and acted as the recruiting coordinator. Prior to that, Miller was an assistant coach at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Conn., where he worked with the team's infielders.


Miller, a native of Tahoe City, Calif., has an extensive background in summer collegiate baseball. He recently was pitching coach for the Waterloo Bucks of the Northwoods League in 2012. He has also coached the New Bedford Bay Sox (NECBL) and the Torrington Titans (ACBL). At Torrington, Miller saw two of his pitchers be selected in the 2011 MLB Amateur Draft.


Miller played baseball at San Diego Mesa College and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Grand Canyon University in 2007. He also earned a master's degree in leadership from Grand Canyon in the fall of 2013.


Scott Shirley

Scott is going onto his 13th year with Roundtripper and has coached within the Indiana Mustang program for 10 of those 13 years. Scott is a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Elementary and Secondary Education. He has a degree in Physical Education and taught at Sheridan High School. Scott coached for five years at the high school varsity baseball and softball levels and also was a part of the football coaching staff at Sheridan High School and Noblesville High School. His patience and positive, upbeat personality has made him favorite instructor with elementary and middles school aged students.


Cesar Barrientos

Lead Instructor

Cesar Barrientos is most well known throughout Indiana as a coach and founder of Indiana Baseball Academy and the IBA Storm. With his experience over the last 10 years, Cesar has gained an extraordinary amount of insight into the demands of youth baseball. As previous owner of Indiana Baseball Academy, Cesar was able to improve many players' fundamentals. His camps have always been specifically geared towards the certain needs of the athletes for youth, high school, and college baseball players. Cesar has assisted in multiple pro try-outs for the Evansville Otters and the Travers City Beach Bums. Cesar's students not only walk away with hitting, catching or positional skills, but they also walk away with a perspective on skills to use in life. His ability to infuse analogies that athletes understand and teach the physics of baseball had helped him develop payers to be able to compete at the collegiate level.


Ken Niles

Ken Niles currently serves as an Associate Scout in central Indiana for Jeff Stewart, Midwest Area Scout for the San Diego Padres. Over the past 13 years, Ken Niles had held various positions from collegiate to professional rants as a coach and a scout. He coached hitting and defense, focusing mainly on the infielders, for this alma mater Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida from 1999-2001. From there, Ken became the Associate Head Coach of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas where his teams rewrote the record books and built a program powerhouse nationally while consistently staying ranked in the top 5 of the nation. In the summer of 2003, Niles coached the Sanford Mainers of the New England Collegiate Baseball League with a team that consisted of players from the 12-time National Champion Team Connecticut Baseball Club at the 14U, 16U, and 18U age levels. At both the collegiate and AAU levels, he has seen over 25 of his players be drafted into professional baseball, or sign as a free agent, From 2004 to 2006, Niles worked as an Associate Scout for the Tampa Bay Rays, covering the Connecticut and Massachusetts areas.


Logan Hug


Associate Instructor, Pitching/Hitting

Hug was a 4 year player in the Pike High School baseball program as well as playing for the Pony Express during his summer travel ball. After graduation from Pike, Hug played his first two year in junior college at Ancilla College in Plymouth, Indiana, as a second baseman and pitcher.


While at Ancilla, Hug earned 2nd team all-conference honors as a sophomore. Hug went on to finish his Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science at Manchester University, now playing primarily 2nd base. Hug earned all-conference honors his junior year while leading Manchester to a conference championship, and all conference honorable mention honors his senior year.


Logan is currently the head coach in the Indiana Mustangs organization.


Drew Brantley

Associate Instructor
Hitting/Fielding
Varsity Club

Drew graduated from Western High School in Kokomo, Indiana. He continued his baseball career at Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. Drew was a first team All-Statesman his senior year of high school. At Anderson, Drew was selected to the first team All-Conference All-Tournament team. Drew is currently the head coach of the Indiana Flyers 14U. This year will be Drew's first year of instructing with Roundtripper Baseball Academy.
